This policy explains how the GreenBook Landscaper CRM Android app ("GreenBook") handles information. It applies only to GreenBook and to no other product on this website.
In short. GreenBook is a job book for landscaping businesses. The records you keep in it — your customers, your jobs, your payments — are stored on your own device. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and no GreenBook employee reads them.
1. Who this policy is about
Two different people appear in this policy:
- You — the landscaping business owner or crew member who installs and uses GreenBook.
- Your customers — the people whose names, phone numbers and addresses you enter into GreenBook so you can service and invoice them. You decide what to enter about them; GreenBook simply stores it for you.
2. Information GreenBook handles
2.1 Customer and job records you enter

These records are stored in a database on your phone. GreenBook does not upload them to us. If you use the app's export or share feature, the resulting file goes wherever you send it, and from that point it is outside GreenBook's control.
2.2 App activity and diagnostics
GreenBook records limited technical information about how the app itself is used — for example that an import finished, or that a screen failed to open — together with basic device information such as the Android version and device model. This is used only to find crashes and fix defects. It never contains your customers' names, phone numbers or addresses.
2.3 What GreenBook does not do
- No advertising, and no data shared with advertisers or data brokers.
- No sale of personal information.
- No account, sign-up or password is required to use the app.
- No tracking of you across other companies' apps or websites.
3. Why we are allowed to handle it
We process the information above to provide the app you asked for (contract), and to keep it working correctly and securely (legitimate interests). Where the law requires consent — for example for optional diagnostics in some regions — we ask for it and you may decline.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or rent information. We share it only in these narrow cases:
- Service providers who host our crash and diagnostics infrastructure, acting on our instructions and permitted to use the data only to provide that service.
- Legal obligation — where we are required by valid law to disclose something.
- You — when you deliberately export or share a file from the app.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
Customer and job records stay on your device until you delete them. Because they never reach our servers, you are always in control of them:
- Delete an individual record inside the app.
- Uninstall GreenBook, or use Android Settings → Apps → GreenBook → Storage → Clear storage, to remove all of the app's data from your device at once.
- To request deletion of diagnostics data associated with your installation, email us at the address below and we will act within 30 days.
Diagnostics data is retained for no longer than 12 months.
6. Security
Your records are held in the app's private storage area, which Android isolates from other apps on the device. Data sent for diagnostics travels over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. No system is perfect, so please protect your device with a screen lock.
7. Your responsibilities to your customers
When you enter your customers' details into GreenBook, you are the party responsible for that information under privacy law in most jurisdictions. Please collect and use it lawfully, and tell your customers how you keep their details if they ask.
8. Children
GreenBook is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because your business records are stored on your own device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, contact us.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will note them in the app's release notes on Google Play.
